PAL Music Therapy can support you and your child at home or within care. We provide everything needed to deliver the sessions.
Cost
In line with other allied healthcare professionals, our rates are:
40 minute individual session - £65
Assessment (if needed - including consultation, 3 sessions, review meeting and assessment report) - £300
Individuals and families may be able to access therapy funding through their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), through the Pupil Premium Fund or through music therapy charities and organisations such as BAMT and Jessies Fund.
PAL Music Therapy also has a limited number of concession rates available. Please contact us to enquire.
What Music Therapy Involves
We offer music therapy sessions tailored to each child’s needs, offering a space for self-expression while working towards emotional, developmental, communicational and well-being aims.
Sessions may involve:
Musical improvisation (spontaneous music making)
Singing songs together
Listening to music
Songwriting
Talking
Our Services Include
Free consultation – A short call to understand your child’s needs and how we can support them
Assessment – 3 sessions, liaison with SENCO or GP if appropriate, review meeting and assessment report
Individual Therapy – Weekly 40-minute sessions, short-term or ongoing (can include parents)
Regular reviews using standardised tools
Collaboration with other professionals if appropriate (e.g. Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist, CAMHS, Education Teams)
Music Technology – Accessible, specialised creative tools
Support for Parents and Caregivers – Helping you learn musical and relational ways to connect with and support your child
